HR Interview Agent – Professional Candidate Screening

Overview

This guide deploys the HR Interview Agent - Professional Candidate Screening workflow using n8n and Trugen AI.

The workflow creates an interview agent from your job description, captures completed interview transcripts, runs AI candidate evaluation, and logs results to Google Sheets.

Quick Start: Deployment Flow

This workflow automates setup and callback analysis from n8n.

Step 1: n8n Import & Credentials

1. Import Trugen's HR Interview Agent.json into n8n.
2. Connect credentials for:
   • Trugen AI (agent creation and conversation fetch)
   • Google Sheets (interview link + results logging)
   • OpenAI (interview analysis with GPT-4o-mini)

Before you run it: replace hardcoded values

• In Your Job Description, replace the sample JD with your real role requirements.
• In Create a new agent, replace callback_url with your own n8n webhook URL.
• In Save to Google Sheets1 and Save to Google Sheets, select your own spreadsheet/tabs.
• Replace account-specific default email values with your own.

Step 2: Automated Agent Creation

• Execute ▶️ Click to Start Setup.
• Setup path runs: Your Job Description -> Prepare Interview Agent -> Create a new agent -> Save Agent Info -> Save to Google Sheets1.
• The agent details and interview link are saved in your sheets.

Step 3: Webhook & Callback Setup

• Copy webhook URL from Webhook.
• In Trugen Dashboard agent settings, set:
  • Callback URL = your n8n webhook
  • Callback Event = Call Ended

Workflow Architecture

Phase 1: Registration

• Manual setup creates the interview agent and stores the generated interview link.

Phase 2: Live Interview

• Candidate joins through interview link and completes voice/video interview.
• Agent follows interview prompt generated from your job description.

Phase 3: Automated Analysis

After call completion:

1. Webhook receives callback payload.
2. Get conversation details fetches transcript/metadata.
3. Analyze Interview generates structured candidate assessment.
4. Format for Sheets maps key outcomes.
5. Save to Google Sheets appends final interview results.
